The Awakening is an online, free, text-based, multiplayer game that is currently under development. There are three of us working on it, and we have a pretty sweet storyline. Many details I would like to keep hidden at this time, but there are a few things I don't mind saying:

• basics




• it's based in a place much like our world, except without guns or many of our forms of transportation. So there are swords, bows, trains (but not planes or cars), and tv.


• all players (at least for now) will be human


• other races include elves and dark elves (as well as an assortment of other fun things)


• it's an RPG, with a max of 20 levels (plenty to do once you're level 20)


• each player can have multiple characters (so there's really no reason for multiple accounts)


• magic is pretty important, but not required




• group battles




• you and a few others can gang up on a tough boss, to show him who's... boss.


• there's a listing of all battles currently taking place, with the option to join in.




• clans




• government gives contracts, so everyone in the clan can get cash/exp.


• combined with the above, clan wars are easy (a group from one clan fights a group from another)




• 'mentor'-type system




• stronger players can train weaker players

There are many other things, but I really don't want to bore you...
